Better in color than in black and white I decided, this picture really encompasses eerie for me. It is taken on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea as I was riding the perimeter of the island by bicycle. Outside of tourist season, the island is very empty and with the fog rolling in, I was a bit spooked alone, on a bicycle, without a cell phone!
Great challenge for the day after Halloween!
Now I know this closely mimics the cover photo for this challenge, but I still couldn’t help myself. This was the breakfast I treated myself to one morning on vacation in Germany. The woman gave me the strangest look when I asked for a giant slice of cake at 7am in the morning! But, I will admit, it was a very good morning for me. Somehow my toast with butter on this Saturday morning just doesn’t live up to that picture.
I wish everyone out there a great morning:)
Looking at this picture, I feel it is saturated with sunshine. I know it is probably not the most traditional depiction of saturated, but this is what I think of with saturation. I can almost feel the sun on my skin. Hope you enjoy this picture and have a great rest of your day:)
I liked the idea of this photo more than I like how it came out, but here’s my Weekly Photo Challenge. It’s a picture of my kitchen from inside the fish bowl:) Hope you all enjoy it – just tried to do something a little bit different! Also, this is my fish Zeus, just thought I would give him some credit. Have a great Thursday everybody… the weekend is coming!
This is probably not my most exciting Weekly Photo Challenge, but I struggled a bit this week. After spending around 45 minutes this evening walking around campus and through the park, I watched two squirrels chase each other up a tree. This is the tree from a squirrel’s point of view:) Just something a little different. I hope you enjoy my photo and have a great rest of your weekend!
When I think of the sea, I think of tranquility, sunsets, pastels, and peacefulness. This picture from the coast of the little island of Bornholm encompasses the sea in my opinion. In this picture, anything is possible and anything can happen. It certainly makes me want to go back! I hope everyone has a great Monday and enjoys a little snapshot of my ocean:)
This was a really interesting challenge – I had a lot of fun experimenting with different shots. I decided railroad tracks were made for this challenge, so here it is. Hope you enjoy and have a great Wednesday!
“Find a penny, pick it up. For all the day, you’ll have good luck.”
After struggling with ideas for this photo challenge since Friday, the perfect picture greeted me on my way to my cubicle this morning. If this does not foreshadow a bit of good luck on a Monday morning, then I don’t know what does. And, it was heads facing up:) Of course, if anyone saw me crouching on the floor in an aisle of cubicles with a camera, I probably had them wondering. But it does not matter to me – I have my Weekly Photo Challenge submission!
There is nothing like pictures during sunrise and sunset. Of course we all have the beach photos from vacations with a beautiful sunrise or sunset on the horizon. I looked through those and I have been experimenting with my camera settings since Friday during the golden hours of the day to see what I can produce for a picture for this weekly photo challenge.
In the end, I settled with this picture. It is from Hawaii on the top of Mount Haleakala during sunrise. No, it is not amazingly gorgeous or impressive, but when I think of the golden hour of the day, I think of this photo. The sun just touching the rocks and casting dark shadows on the other side. It is a time of dreaming; a time of possibility. There really is no better time of day. Hope you all enjoy and Happy Monday!
